well its been awhile since ive written. the reason being is that i am in the middle of the jungle. a week ago today, i arrived in rournabaqua the tiny jungle town on the shores of the beni river deep in the bolivian jungle. internet is slow, and it is ridiculously hot.
the days here are spent at the pool and eating at really good restaurants. but its not all fun and games... (oh who am i kidding, of course it is) we just came back from 3 days in the jungle where we walked in the forest saw wild pigs, parrots, tarantulas, fish, etc... it was fun. OH and the best part of all...
on our second night there there was a thunderstorm. aka a tropical storm. tons of rain, thunder, massive lightning and wind. naturally we were sleeping under a tarp. it was quite the experience... also a tree blew over right next to us... GOOD TIMES... GOOD TIMES...
now we are back in rourra and tomorrow we are going to the pampas which are swamps here where we will be for 3 days. i am expecting it to be like the everglades but we shall see what happens... after that it will be back to rourra and then back to la paz for a little third world shopping, a package to be sent home (surprise ima!!) and then to the salar (salt flats) in southern bolivia and then argentina!!!!
